Substitute Teacher

Substitute for teachers who are absent or unable to attend. Salida Del Sol Academy is a K-8 dual language charter school in Greeley, CO and welcomes Spanish and English speaking guest teachers.

Job Qualifications:

• Current teaching license or CDE substitute license
• Salida Del Sol Academy may sponsor 1 year Substitute Licensure
• 4 year degree or higher – official transcripts to be submitted preferred but not required
• Bilingual skills – Spanish preferred but not required

Skill Requirements:

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem solving ability; good judgement
• Ability to interact appropriately with children of different ages

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assumes responsibility for overseeing classroom instruction, pupil behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods
• Records absences in accordance with school procedures
• Upon completion of the teaching day, the substitute is expected to stop in the school office to receive instructions relative to another assignment; complete required personnel forms, return keys and other materials
• Perform other duties as assigned

Current Substitute Pay Is $160.00 Per Day
