Placement on the District Certified Salary schedule based on education and work experience; up to ten years’ experience considered. - Benefits:

- Required:
Bachelor’s Degree and Colorado Teaching License. - Preferred:
Experience in a related field and bilingual ability.
Provide an enriched learning environment where students develop skills and knowledge, contributing to their development as mature, capable, and responsible members of society.
Essential Functions- Plan a program of study that meets individual student needs, interests, and abilities.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Maintain discipline and classroom control fostering a safe and positive environment.
- Ensure adequate supervision to safeguard health and welfare of all students.
- Guide learning toward curriculum standards, set clear objectives, and communicate them to students.
- Use appropriate instructional methods and materials.
- Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports.
- Diagnose learning abilities and seek assistance from district specialists as needed.
- Counsel with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Assist administration in implementing policies and develop classroom rules.
- Supervise assignments for instructional assistants and volunteers.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on committees.
- Employ varied instructional techniques and media.
- Implement district philosophy and objectives.
- Respect student personal space.
- Implement IEP plans while preserving academic time.
- Maintain accurate records per law and policy.
- Be available for students and parents outside instructional days as required.
- Collaborate with staff on instructional goals.
- Assist in selecting books, equipment, and materials.
- Share responsibilities for co‑curricular activities.
- Protect students, equipment, and facilities.
- Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, discipline problems promptly.
- Model non‑discriminatory practices.
- Comply with school and division regulations.
- Maintain open communication with students and parents regarding progress.
- Pursue professional growth through reading, workshops, seminars, conferences, and advanced coursework.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
- Ability to follow oral and written direction.
- Establish effective relationships with staff and students.
- Effective classroom management strategies.
