Salary: $20.51 per hour plus benefits (range $19). Additional salary credit up to $32.85 per hour may be available for internal transfers and recent rehires.
Contract Length: 182 days (2026‑2027)

Education / Experience
Required: Associate’s degree or 48 semester hours or passing Work Keys exam scores.
Preferred: CPI training (training provided), CPR/First Aid (training provided).
Job DescriptionSummary/Objective: Provide an enriched atmosphere for students to learn and develop intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth. Facilitate learning and guide students toward achieving their potential. Responsible to the school principal and department director.
Essential Job Functions- Support academic programming and progress of individual students and small groups with significant needs.
- Provide student‑specific personal care and support.
- Assist with daily classroom activities, data collection, equipment sanitization, and support staff.
- Maintain the ability to sit for long periods and respond quickly to student needs.
- Demonstrate upper body strength to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Applicant must possess knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position’s functions. Appropriate experience in a school setting or with children with special needs is required. Strong verbal communication, teamwork, positive attitude, and physical strength are essential. Paraprofessional experience is preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus.
