Salary: $20.51 per hour plus benefits (Range 19). Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley‑Evans School District 6 re‑hires, up to $31.87 per hour plus benefits.
Contract Length/Days: 2026‑2027 / 182 days

Education / Experience
- Required:
AA degree or 48 semester hours or passing scores on Work Keys exam - Preferred: CPI training (provided), CPR/First Aid training (provided)
Job Description
Summary / Objective: Provide an enriched atmosphere where students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible members of society. Facilitate learning and guide students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional and psychological growth and maturation. Responsible to the building principal and department director where assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
- Support the academic programming and progress of individual students and/or small groups with identified significant needs.
- Provide student‑specific personal care and support.
- Assist with daily classroom activities, data collection, sanitizing equipment and materials, and provide support to staff.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, manage numerous distractions, and maintain visual, auditory and ambulatory acuity.
- Ability to move quickly from one position to another in response to student needs and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Additional Qualifications: Knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to perform the function of the position; experience working in a school setting or with children with special needs; strong verbal communication; desire to work in a team setting; positive attitude; upper body strength; paraprofessional experience preferred; bilingual skills preferred but not required.
