Salary: $19.26 per hour (up to $30.86 per hour for internal transfers and rehires)

Education & Experience- AA degree or 48 semester hours
- Passing scores on Work Keys exams:
Applied Math (score ≥4), Workplace Documents (score ≥4), Business Writing (score ≥3)
- CPI training (training provided)
- CPR/First Aid training (training provided)
Provide an enriched atmosphere where students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible members of society. Facilitate learning and guide students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional and psychological growth and maturation. Responsible to the building principal and department director where assigned.
Essential Job Functions- Support the academic programming and progress of individual students and/or small groups of students with identified significant needs.
- Provide student‑specific personal care and support.
- Assist with daily classroom activities, data collection, sanitizing equipment and materials, and providing assistance to staff.
- Ability to sit for long periods, manage multiple distractions, and maintain visual, auditory and ambulatory acuity.
- Ability to move quickly from one position to another in response to student needs; upper body strength to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Applicant must have knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to perform the function of the position, including providing student‑specific personal care support. Previous experience working in a school setting or with children with special needs is required. Strong verbal communication skills, ability to move quickly, teamwork, positive attitude, and upper body strength (lifting 50 lbs.) are required. Paraprofessional experience, bilingual skills preferred.
