Job DescriptionSupervises student conduct, provides instruction to individuals or small groups, supports school‑wide assessment activities, and performs clerical duties as required.
Essential Functions- Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce instructional material.
- Assists with computer assignments and various classroom activities; supports students’ access to curriculum, including note‑taking and assistive technology.
- Instructs small groups in assigned content areas following in‑building or in‑district training.
- Administers selected assessments and other assignments.
- Performs clerical duties such as copying, laminating, record‑keeping, data entry, filing, and cutting/pasting.
- Uses technology for data entry and instruction, including hardware and software programs such as interactive whiteboards, document cameras, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web‑based systems.
- Monitors students before, during, and after school, including playground and cafeteria, and implements the school’s PBIS program.
- Assists with lesson planning.
- Spends approximately 90% of time working directly with students.
- Basic knowledge of computer data entry, office procedures, and office equipment.
- Basic knowledge of reading, arithmetic, grammar, and spelling.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and district staff.
- Willingness to learn assistive technology software.
Required: Colorado Teaching License
Work Environment / Physical DemandsAbility to sit for long periods, manage distractions, maintain visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
