Salary: $30,000 - $35,000 per year

Purpose of Job

Engage students both in-person and online, collaborate with teachers and staff to promote student success, provide outreach and support services, and respond to identified students ensuring each student successfully achieves personal and program goals. Provide on-site direct support to staff and students, oversee student discipline, and foster positive relationships.

Essential Duties and Major Accountabilities

Physical Presence

Maintain a regular on-site presence; virtual work may be permitted based on site needs.

Interventions
  • Provide interventions as needed.
Transportation
  • Transport students for school-related activities with required CDE Driver Certification and certified GOAL vehicle.
MTSS
  • Monitor attendance data to identify students requiring intervention, including home visits, parent communications, and student success plans.
  • Ensure timely documentation of all interventions.
Truancy
  • Collaborate with regional leadership and Social Emotional Team for accurate truancy documentation to the court.
  • Attend truancy court hearings as needed.
  • Assist with community and legal resources.
Compliance
  • Complete assigned training and adhere to school policy and state law, including confidentiality, mandatory reporting, and FERPA.
Community Engagement
  • Collaborate with the Social Emotional Team to connect students to external resources.
Recruitment
  • Actively recruit new students through community partnerships and events using GOAL marketing materials.
Support:
Academic/Social Emotional
  • Basic tech support for students.
  • Use GOAL Helpdesk ticketing system to communicate needs with IT and verify resolution.
Academic Support
  • Facilitate students working with teachers for academic growth.
  • Facilitate access to accommodations as needed.
Social Emotional Support
  • Facilitate access to identified social emotional support staff.
  • Provide a caring and inclusive environment.
Assessments
  • Champion GOAL's culture of assessment, ensuring student participation and proctoring, and maintaining compliance with all state mandated tests.
Platform Knowledge
  • Understand student experience in GOAL learning platforms:
    Schoology, Edgenuity, GOAL Portal.
Gladiator Connections/Advocacy
  • Build connections with staff, students, and parents to support student progress.
  • Provide progress reports and student/parent staff conferences.
Extra-Curricular
  • Have general knowledge of GOAL Academy's extra-curricular activities and student opportunities.
Daily Attendance
  • Maintain daily student communication and document attendance using GOAL systems.
Teamwork
  • Participate in daily POD huddles to establish clear communication and define responsibilities with teammates.
Accountability Standards
  • Love for children and ability to work enthusiastically on their behalf.
  • Recruit new students through community partnerships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time-management, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable working with technology.

  • Willingness to travel regionally and transport students.

  • Must work all scheduled calendar days in Colorado.
Minimum Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Reside in Colorado.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate subject matter competency via Associate (or higher) degree, or two years of study, or passing formal assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree and training in Education, Social Work, or related field preferred.
Experience
  • Two years working with youth preferred.
  • Two years working with students in a secondary school preferred.
