Adjunct Hiring Pool - Mathematical Sciences

Compensation range: $1,080.00 - $1,300.00 per credit hour

This pool expires 05/31/2027. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2027, must reapply at that time.

Position Summary

Candidates are sought to form a hiring pool for temporary full-time and part-time positions in Mathematical Sciences. Teaching assignments will include lower division service courses, upper division undergraduate courses, or graduate courses in our Master's in Mathematics:
Teaching Emphasis. Face-to-face and online teaching opportunities may be available. Depending on need and the instructor's background, assignments could be in mathematics, mathematics education, computer science, or statistics, and could include mathematics courses taken by preservice elementary school teachers. Applicants with experience or interest in teaching such courses should state this in their application. Most lower division undergraduate courses are coordinated;

instructors must attend coordination meetings and work with the coordinator and other instructors. If you are applying to teach a dual enrollment course, please indicate the school and the courses you would like to teach in your application.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in one of the Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field).
  • Potential for or evidence of innovative, learner-centered pedagogy.
  • A commitment to high quality instruction of a diverse student body is essential
Preferred Qualifications
  • Successful teaching experience at the university level
  • Experience and expertise in culturally responsive teaching.
