Responsibilities- Perform routine monitoring, sampling, testing, and documentation to verify system performance and regulatory compliance.
- Operate and maintain treatment plant equipment.
- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Respond to equipment or process issues.
- Maintain accurate operational records.
- Follow established safety, environmental, and operational procedures while working independently and collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external service providers as needed.
Essential:
- Experience in water and wastewater treatment operations
- Experience conducting wastewater testing and evaluation
- Experience operating mechanical equipment used in water and wastewater treatment plants and operating and maintaining safety equipment
- Knowledge of potable water treatment, distribution, wastewater treatment, and collection processes
- Ability to perform laboratory testing and quality control procedures
- Demonstrated experience using math in an operational or technical environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Solid written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical skills
Desired:
- Understanding of potable water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection, plant operation and maintenance
- Knowledge of provincial regulations
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must have a Manitoba Water treatment level 2
- Must have a Manitoba Wastewater treatment level 1
- Must have a Manitoba Wastewater collection level 1
- Must have a Manitoba Water distribution level 1
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent from another jurisdiction
- Must provide and maintain a satisfactory enhanced security screening level 2
- Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
