Job SummaryThe City of Greeley is expanding its engineering team and seeking skilled professionals at multiple levels—Civil Engineer II and Civil Engineer III—to help deliver critical transportation and public infrastructure improvements throughout the community. These positions play a key role in planning, designing, reviewing, constructing, operating, and maintaining transportation infrastructure and capital improvement projects (CIP) within the Public Works & Transportation Department.
Successful candidates will contribute to transportation planning, development review, traffic engineering, asset management, and project delivery while working collaboratively with City staff, consultants, contractors, developers, regulatory agencies, and the public. As a mid-level engineer, you will manage increasingly complex transportation and infrastructure projects through planning, design, and construction. Responsibilities include coordinating with operations and asset management staff, participating in transportation and master planning efforts, managing consultant contracts, overseeing capital improvement projects, supervising contractors and consultants, and providing technical engineering support throughout project delivery and post-construction implementation.
Civil Engineer IIIAs a senior-level engineer, you will serve as a technical lead and project manager for major transportation and public infrastructure initiatives. This role provides leadership and guidance to engineering staff and is responsible for directing the planning, design, and construction of complex capital improvement projects. The position requires extensive engineering expertise, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to make sound technical decisions while coordinating with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and the public.

Minimum Requirements
- Civil Engineer II
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
- Minimum three (3) years of professional civil engineering experience.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
- Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the State of Colorado within one (1) year of hire.
- Civil Engineer III
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
- Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible engineering experience, including municipal infrastructure, transportation, development review, or public works projects.
- Licensed Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Colorado.
