The Role

We are seeking a Teller/New Accounts Representative at our Canon City location. This role is often the first point of contact for customers, setting the tone for the overall banking experience. Duties include processing customer transactions accurately, opening and maintaining personal and business accounts, and delivering exceptional customer service while promoting Bank of the San Juan’s Core Values.

The salary range for this position is $17.50‑$19.00 per hour.

• Teller Functions:
  • Accurately perform teller transactions including cashing checks, processing withdrawals and deposits, issuing cashier checks, and change orders.
  • Maintain cash drawer limits and properly /verify customers.
  • Understand and present bank products and services to customers.
  • Assist customers with non‑transactional needs and answer incoming calls.
  • Balance teller drawer, cash vault, coin machine, and Teller Cash Recycler.
  • Open and close the branch daily as scheduled.
• New Account Functions:
  • Manage a wide range of account services—opening, closing, and maintaining checking, savings, money market, IRAs, HSAs, CDs, and safe deposit boxes.
