Financial Analyst
Full‑time, year‑round position at Copper Mountain Resort.
Job SummaryThe Financial Analyst leads budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business planning across the resort, preparing analyses for leadership, facilitating monthly forecasting and trending, and ensuring accurate financial statements.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Senior Finance Manager on financial modeling, budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and presentations.
- Create and distribute company‑wide financial dashboards, business unit pacing dashboards, monthly P&L statements, OPEX reports, and other key performance dashboards.
- Serve as lead contact for divisions on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, pricing, and revenue analysis.
- Lead the budgeting process, working closely with divisional leadership to develop business plans and pricing models.
- Assist with capital planning—modeling, budgeting, reporting actuals, and preparing presentations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Development and Construction and Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely budgeting and forecasting.
- Participate in monthly financial statement reviews, identify variances, and provide explanations.
- Work with operations teams to mitigate budget variances.
- Perform ad‑hoc analysis across all business areas.
- Assist with month‑end close accounting and ensure deadlines are met.
- Identify and implement process improvements related to finance and accounting practices.
- Coordinate with corporate accounting or operational departments to resolve accounting or reporting questions.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 2‑3 years of finance experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and database management software.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and visually review documents.
- Minimum age 18 and willingness to undergo a background check.
- Intermediate ski or snowboard ability (required for workplace participation).
- Proposed hiring rate: $2,885 to $2,915.38 biweekly, adjusted by experience.
