This position will assist the President/CEO in the management of Branches, Member Operational Service and Support activities. This position plays a vital role in building, training and overseeing the Operational Department Team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Hires, reviews, schedules, trains and monitors the work of the Member Service and Operations team
- Conducts performance reviews, builds and motivates a cohesive operational team.
- Determines, requests, allocates and monitors Credit Union resources necessary to facilitate Credit Union operations and to accomplish Credit Union goals and strategies.
- Monitors and is responsible for the Operations Department results relative to established objectives.
- Assists with the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports as assigned.
- Manage all aspects of the Credit Unions IRA program and products including reporting requirements.
- Responsible for all managing and filing all unclaimed property reports.
- Monitors all Operations Department activities to ensure they follow established Credit Union and regulatory policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Conducts all research necessary to provide assistance or resolve issues in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Build team unity and establish a work environment based upon Team Member confidentiality and trust. Strictly adhering to the highest level of the professional code of conduct and ethics.
- Searches for ways to create efficiencies and decrease costs.
- Performs Financial Service Representative duties on an as needed basis, filling in for peak schedules or for any absence or shortage in the branch including weekends.
- Assumes the responsibilities of the Assistant BSA Officer, backing up the CFO on card duties, exceptions monitoring, and wire reviews and approvals.
- Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organization(s), supplies, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Meet or exceed departmental goals provided by the President/CEO.
- Maintain or exceed annual deposit and asset growth objectives while maintaining or improving the financial performance of NCCU through the improvement in ROAA, Net Worth and other key performance indicators identified annually during the budget process.
- Ensure recovery of all critical branch functions for business contingency as necessary or in accordance with the disaster recovery plan if required.
- Coach and develop the operations team to identify cross sales opportunities and to appropriately refer opportunities to the lending sales team. Success will be measured by a positive trend in referrals measured quarterly.
- Provide performance reviews to your team no later than 15 days following the end of the calendar year.
- High school education or GED.
- 2 years of Credit Union or Banking Operations Required.
