Position Summary

Full-time, 12-month grant funded appointment in Rehabilitation Counseling Sciences within the College of Natural and Health Sciences and working on the federally funded JOBWISE demonstration project. Responsibilities include outreach to communities and organization in the defined grant catchment area and providing outreach to eligible individualsandfamilies. The purpose of this position will be to oversee recruitment,eligibility, enrollment, and data collection and reporting on the project.

Job Duties

This position for a Community Outreach and Research Specialist will work on the federally funded JOBWISE demonstration project.

This position will be responsible for:

  • 50% Community outreach and intake coordination
  • Responsible for following up with eligible participant sand conducting intake interviews with families and individuals in the catchment area.
  • Collaborating with other JOBWISE team members
  • Communication and coordination with JOBWISE team members
  • Data entry of intake and managing of REDCap Intake database
  • Presenting updates to the JOBWISE Advisory Council
  • Collecting, maintaining and tracking data
  • 50% Evaluation and research coordinator
  • Collaboration with JOBWISE data analyst on database an devaluation
  • Collaborating with other JOBWISE team members
  • Communication and coordination with JOBWISE team members
  • Implementation of the JOBWISE evaluation plan
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Public Health, Human Services, orrelated field
  • 1-2 years experience working with people with disabilities
  • REDCap database management experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Public Health, Human Services, or related field
  • 2+ years experience working with people with disabilities
  • Children’s Hospital of Colorado Research Affiliate status
  • Epic experience
  • Spanish speaking
  • 1-2 years experience working on a federally funded grant
About the Department

The Department of Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services and Public Health houses Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services and Public Health programs. The Human Services program provides a comprehensive understanding of the techniques and theories in the helping professions. You will master the skills needed to solve real-world problems using a variety of human services methods. The undergraduate degree in Human Services provides students with the skills to be able to work in a variety of human services settings.

A hallmark of this program is the fieldwork experiences integrated into course requirements. The health sciences degree allows for a concentration in either public health or health administration. The health sciences degree also provides a pathway into the Master of Public Health program through an accelerated program. The department also houses the only rehabilitation degree program in Colorado. Students in this program are prepared at the professional level to work with people with physical and/or mental disabilities.

The Rehabilitation Counseling graduate program includes experiences through practica and internships. The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is focused on Community Health Education and within the Colorado School of Public Health (COloradoSPH).
