Overview
Position Title:
Payroll Specialist
Department:

Reports To:
Payroll Supervisor
- Accurately enter data with a strong emphasis on 10-key proficiency.
- Review and verify timesheets to determine hours worked and ensure proper authorization.
- Process payroll calculations, including standard deductions and applicable taxes.
- Record payroll data on payroll sheets, ensuring all required information is included.
- Respond to complex payroll inquiries and gather necessary data for resolution.
- Calculate special payments and generate detailed payroll reports.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 1–2 years of payroll experience, preferably within the transportation industry.
- Prior payroll experience is required.
- Solid understanding of payroll laws, procedures, and terminology.
- High accuracy in 10-key data entry.
- Experience with TMW and/or SAP is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Windows-based applications.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on timely and accurate issue resolution.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
- Self-motivated with a process-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy.
- Dependable and reliable.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
High School Diploma or GED.
Compensation and Benefits- Benefits:

- Base salary range $20 - $22 per hour
