Junior Hardware Engineer

• Analyze requirements, CONOPS, and system architectures to create detailed infrastructure and data center designs
• Collaborate with Operations teams and Government stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure availability, reliability, resiliency, and operability objectives
• Research optimal design characteristics and conduct Analyses of Alternatives for technology and service options, feasibility studies, and proofs of concept
• Incorporate capacity, performance, and service-level metrics into designs
• Produce engineering and design artifacts, test cases, training materials, and supporting documentation, including CONOPS
• Research new technologies and capabilities and articulate integration benefits to stakeholders
• Use Lab facilities for experimentation, technical investigation, and feasibility validation
• Develop test cases and scripts for unit and system tests across designs and configurations
• Support transfer of engineered solutions to Operations teams during acceptance testing, Blue/Green fielding, and early production use
• Provide advanced troubleshooting, repair, and optimization services for VDI components
• Develop and execute IT equipment strategy covering assessment, vendor evaluation, procurement, implementation, deployment, governance, compliance, and risk management
• Deliver end-to-end engineering transition support from development to ongoing operational maintenance

• Current Top Secret SCI clearance with ability to obtain poly prior to start
• DOD 8140 Certification applicable to role (minimum Security+)
• HS and 12+ years of experience, an AA and 10+ years of experience, BS/BA and 8+ years of experience, MS/MA and 6+ years of experience, or PhD and 4+ years of experience
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience designing, integrating, validating, and implementing IT hardware and software solutions
• Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies
• Familiarity with IC ITE services and classified environments
• ITIL 4 Foundation Certification (or higher)
