Job Description
School Leadership focuses on leading and managing areas of business operations within the school, including development and implementation of plans, policies, and strategies to support business objectives; creation and tracking of key performance metrics; and collaboration with internal stakeholders to support initiatives that drive operational and financial performance and growth.
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), 10+ years of related professional experience, 5+ years managing specific areas.
Required Certificates and Licenses- Colorado Academic Administrator Certification Required
Must reside in Colorado.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the executive officer of the school, administering development and sustainment of a positive educational program designed to foster student achievement and balance public company responsibilities with mission-oriented values.
- Own the school budget, forecasting and workforce planning; set budgets, create organizational structures, and allocate capital and people resources to achieve company and functional goals.
- Make appropriate financial, operational, and resource allocations to achieve short‑ and long‑term financial goals.
- Oversee all business decisions within the school to ensure outcomes are achieved.
- Create strong, trusting relationships with board (district) clients, ensure compliance with contract requirements, and provide advice on policies, programs, and innovative solutions.
- Proactively make business decisions based on knowledge of education industry, customer base, political and regulatory environment, technology, competitors and financial trends.
- Guide and empower school academic leaders in supervision of staff related to teaching and academic outcomes.
- Use market, customer, and organizational performance data to identify opportunities to improve top‑ and bottom‑line results.
Directly supervises 5–10 full‑time equivalent employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Ten (10) years of related professional experience.
- Five (5) years of leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, management, interpersonal relations, and communication skills.
- Proven business experience and acumen.
- Owner of a line of business or school budget.
- Experience building a leadership team of top talent and creating an environment that supports active listening and willingness to share different viewpoints.
- Successful creation of strategic partnerships that enable business growth.
- Microsoft 365; web proficiency.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time.
- Ability to clear required background check.
- Experience leading a remote team.
- Master’s degree or MBA.
Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level, and expected contribution.
Post‑annual salary range: $96,771.00 – $. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed; compensation can vary based on several factors including geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Work Environment- The position works a blended schedule (both from the office and the employee’s home). The noise level in the office is usually moderate.
