Leprino Foods, the world’s largest manufacturer of mozzarella, lactose and whey protein, is looking for a motivated individual to join our Greeley Team as a Micro Lab Technician. As a member of the Quality Execution Department, you will help us maintain the highest product quality standards and support our goal of becoming the “World’s Best Dairy Food and Ingredient Company.”
Responsibilities- Test final product (cheese, WPC, lactose and NFDM) from previous production dates for bacteriological compliance.
- Perform in‑process and swab sampling for bacteriological testing, and support the plant environmental swab program.
- Advise management personnel on specification conditions and recommend corrective measures.
- Make sound product‑grading decisions.
- Input data into FLEX and SAP from testing procedures.
- Represent the Quality Execution Department during corporate, regional, or customer visits.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the Job‑Specific SOP and PSOP job certification.
- Starting pay $29.22 per hour, plus a night‑shift differential of $1.25 per hour for evening shifts.

- Must read, write, and speak English to understand SOPs, GMPs and communicate effectively.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Must comply with all applicable safety practices and keep a clean work area.
- Must complete written reports and perform basic and intermediate calculations.
- Must enter data into computer systems and pull data from them.
- Must possess problem‑solving ability for equipment or troubleshooting without direct supervision.
- Must have a basic understanding of chemistry or biology and lab equipment through education or experience.
- Experience with computers and related programs.
- At least 2 years of work experience in a similar position, instrumentation operation, troubleshooting, aseptic technique, and sample pulling.
- Advanced level science knowledge (chemistry, biology, microbiology) and laboratory experience such as computer‑assisted analytical equipment and microbiological testing.
- Must lift moderate weights repeatedly during the shift, stand/walk, climb steps or ladders, and work in hot, humid and cold areas.
- May be required to work overtime and holidays.
- Must read/write and perform basic arithmetic to understand SOPs, GMPs and safety practices.
- Responsible for all assigned housekeeping and inspection duties.
