Job Title: Forklift Operator 1

Location: AAPP Plant – Greeley, CO

Reports To: Manager – Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse

Department: Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse

Job Status: Full-Time

Job Type: Hourly/Nonexempt

Salary Range: $17.50 – $21.50 Hourly

Summary

Operates forklift and other lift equipment to load, unload, and transport products and materials in handling materials to and from dock trucks, to and from various storage areas, and supplying materials to and removing product from production lines; frequent operation of a forklift in cold-zero degree Fahrenheit environments; in an industrial process by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receives work assignments and schedules from Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Manager
  • Fresh Receiving
  • Handles Fresh staging
  • Understands and operates wrapper machine as well as wrapping paperwork
  • Operates forklift, wrapper machine, and other equipment safely and in accordance with company training
  • Loading and Shipping Frozen
  • Loading and Shipping Fresh
  • Helps Check in drivers
Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of mechanical deboning, micro cutter, and blending equipment. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work. Ability to read and understand equipment instruction manuals and to detect and troubleshoot operating defects or faults.

Employment Eligibility
  • Ability to provide proof of U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card) status.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening (e.g., drug screen, behavior assessment, etc.).
Math Ability

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM;
Sunday 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. It will be an alternating schedule:
Monday‑Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM then Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM and Saturday at 5:00 AM.
