RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs

• Review patient history and physical with patient/family and ensure completion within appropriate timeframe

• Review diagnostics and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers

• Formulate and implement comprehensive plans of care including discharge planning utilizing assessment data

• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities

• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed

• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records in a timely and accurate manner

• Participate in education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors

• May provide relief charge responsibilities for staff and work flow of the department

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required

• Current valid RN license in state of practice required

• BLS and ACLS certification required

• PALS certification required within 90 days if assigned to ASC services pediatrics

• Core positions require minimum one-year licensed RN experience in OR

• PRN positions require minimum two years licensed RN experience in OR

• Physical demands include ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach frequently and lift up to 75 pounds

• Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
