Job Description

All Health Network is in need of a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to work every Saturday and Sunday in our Acute Treatment Unit. This role is compensated at a rate of $55 - $56 an hour and is eligible for benefits. Qualified applicants should have experience working with adults who are struggling to manage their mental health, in either an inpatient or outpatient facility.

Purpose

Obtain medical histories and conduct physical examinations; diagnose, evaluate, treat and manage acute and chronic illnesses; order or perform diagnostic tests and interpret these tests; and conduct follow-up checks including monitoring of vital signs and weights as indicated for clients admitted to the Acute Care Campus.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform initial history and physical to clients within 24 hours of their admission onto the Acute Treatment Unit (ATU).
  • Provide consultation to staff at the Acute Care Campus regarding the medical problems and medications of clients.
  • Be responsible for evaluating and monitoring client’s medications, including any side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Establish contact with client’s outpatient providers as medically appropriate for continuity of care.
  • Refer clients to outpatient treatment for ongoing care as appropriate.
  • Provide competent, quality medical care to clients.
  • Ensure medical services and follow-ups are completed within established timelines.
  • Provide interventions and documentation to meet regulatory standards and/or contractual requirements within their scope of practice.
  • Attend daily clinical rounds and participate with inter-disciplinary treatment team.
  • Collaborate when necessary, with partner medical facilities, outpatient providers and insurance companies to provide appropriate continuity of care.
  • Maintain current knowledge of psychopharmacology including medication interactions.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately, legibly, and within established time frames, and to accepted standards of practice.
  • Ensure the Diagnosis is updated.
  • Follow all All Health Network policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required trainings as listed in Relias Learning (both online training and face-to-face training) within required timelines.
  • Participate in on-call as required.
  • Perform other duties as required within the scope of the position and the experience, education and ability of the employee, as assigned by Medical Director.
Key Technical Skills and Knowledge
  • Master’s Degree (MSN/MS)
  • Licensed in the State of Colorado as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (APN)
  • Unrestricted DEA
  • Preferred: at least one year post-master’s direct clinical experience with adult psychiatric clients in a medical/behavioral health setting.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and clinical leadership skills.
  • Decision making ability, organizational skills and effective communication skills.
  • Medical expertise, ability to establish effective consulting relationships and function collaboratively in multiple systems.
  • Must be able to collaborate with professionals within the medical field, mental health providers and external agencies.
Hourly Rate

Hourly Rate: $55 - $56 an hour
