As our Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), you will focus on the daily operations of a unit or department, actively developing, achieving, and maintaining its goals, and acting as a champion of innovation and effectiveness. Every day you will visibly and thoughtfully promote a positive work environment, collaborate with nurse leaders on productivity and staffing, assist in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence‑based practice, manage daily expenses, and prioritize patient safety, experience, and performance improvement aligned with unit goals, while encouraging employee participation and supporting professional growth.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong operational management and leadership skills, a keen ability to foster a positive and productive work environment, financial acumen, a commitment to patient safety and quality, and a proven capacity to support staff development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manages daily productivity and expenses, and supports the unit/department manager with budget preparation.
- Supports the daily staffing plan by matching nurse competency with patient acuity, focusing on patient safety and experience.
- Focuses on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals.
- Develops an understanding around the importance of relationships and supports team dynamics by role modeling professional behavior.
- Supports professional development to improve associate retention and promotes a healthy work environment.
- Focuses on personal growth and development through involvement in professional associations, advancing education, and knowing their role within the leadership team.
- A degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN); BSN must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
- RN License to practice in the state of employment as applicable.
- Life Support Certifications per Department Standards; e.g. NRP, EFM, TNCC, etc.
- Nursing Specialty Certification, must sit within 6 months, Must achieve within 2 years of hire to the role.
- 2 years clinical RN experience.
- 6 months clinical leadership experience.
