Job Schedule:
PRN
Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise. Perform testing to evaluate resident status and provide necessary care. Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents. Contribute to assessments, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and provide technical support to healthcare professionals.
Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, health‑care providers, and the public. Counsel residents, family members, and resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans. Apply resident education principles to develop a self‑care program.
Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. An associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. Must hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the State Nursing Board and/or possess multi‑state licensure privileges. When required, hold a North Dakota Board‑approved AASPN program with IV therapy training or completion of an IV therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
Must have attended a pre‑licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have a minimum of 400 hours of experience as an LPN at another facility. Complete required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements.
