Job Summary

As a Flight RN stationed in Greeley, CO, you will work with highly experienced flight medical crews to provide care to critical patients. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of RN experience in Critical Care Nursing (ICU/MICU/SICU/NICU) and will involve 48 hours per week.

Core Functions

Provide care and transport for critically ill or injured patients of all age groups; independently assess patients, intervene with medications and procedures, and provide care to achieve maximum outcomes.

Collaborate with other health team members and healthcare team members from other facilities to provide continuity of care and the highest level of care that may not be available at external facilities.

Communicate effectively while working with internal and external customers including hospitals, EMS, and police and fire departments.

Complete annual education requirements as outlined in the annual education requirements document.

Perform advanced procedures with appropriate training and competency validations. Procedures include, but are not limited to, chest tubes, central lines, I/O placement, cricothyrotomy, and intubation.

Perform all physical requirements of the job in confined spaces, during potentially adverse environmental conditions.

Operate an assigned vehicle in varying weather conditions, providing safe, reliable, and timely transport to a designated point of service as needed (Colorado Employees only).

Employ solution‑oriented and collaborative practices with others to find safe means to move patients and find transport solutions when operational constraints may prohibit normal operations and capabilities.

Interact with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient, and synthesize and prioritize data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.

Minimum

Qualifications

Current, valid RN license in the state of hire and compact status for any other states the program serves.
Current certifications required upon hire: ACLS, PALS, BLS. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) card must be obtained prior to assuming clinical responsibilities.
If hired on or before 10/9/25, Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) required within 30 months of hire; if hired after 10/9/25, CFRN required within 24 months of hire.
Minimum of three years Critical Care and/or Emergency Department experience.
Maintain flight duty weight of less than 225 pounds in plain clothes.
Training and competencies in advanced procedures such as central line placement, advanced airway, chest tube placement, arterial lines, umbilical lines, and other advanced procedures before assuming clinical responsibilities.
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and autonomous practice as evidenced by successful completion of testing throughout the interview and orientation process.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Rotor wing/fixed wing/ground critical care transport experience.
Additional related education and/or experience.

Pay Range

$35.43 - $59.05 per hour.
