Clinic Traveler – Rural Health Primary Care Clinic

Pagosa Springs Medical Center, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

• Contract Length: 13 weeks (extension options available)
• Shift: 10‑hour day shifts, Monday‑Friday (no weekend or holiday requirements)
• Pay Package: 12‑hour shift base, 36.0 hours per week, tax‑free stipend amount to be determined

• Provide comprehensive nursing care within the outpatient clinic setting.
• Perform patient assessments, triage, care planning, treatment implementation, and follow‑up.
• Manage patient phone calls, portal messages, and nursing advice using established protocols.
• Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and other clinic‑based treatments.
• Perform point‑of‑care testing and CLIA‑waived laboratory procedures.
• Coordinate care with providers, specialists, and ancillary departments.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient engagement efforts.
• Serve as a clinical resource for patients and clinic staff.

• Current Colorado RN license or active compact RN license in good standing.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• Strong assessment, triage, patient education, and care coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced outpatient clinic environment.

• Previous Rural Health Clinic, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care experience.
• Experience with immunizations, medication administration, and nursing triage.
• CLIA‑waived laboratory testing experience.
• Experience supporting quality initiatives and patient engagement programs.
