Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13‑week assignment in Greeley, Colorado. The assignment starts on 08/03/2026, requires 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts, and is a Travel position.

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies, including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress, using evidence‑based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with all regulatory standards, including hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing.

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification.
• STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA / ARC).
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Proficiency in PC skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
• Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with a variety of personnel, present a positive attitude, and maintain professionalism.
• Technical/Motor Skills – Must perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and using equipment.
• Mental Requirements – Must cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work independent or with minimal supervision, and maintain detail-oriented focus.
