Position SummaryUNC received a federal grant from the National Science Foundation titled “Collaborative Research:
An Exploration of the Impact of Molecular Representations on Organic Chemistry Students' Problem Solving.” This postdoctoral position is part of that grant to support the goals and outcomes of the grant.
- Serve as lead in collecting, managing, and analyzing data related to faculty experiences with electrostatic potential maps in their organic instruction—essential, 60%
- Serve as lead in running faculty workshops on representations in organic instruction—essential, 20%
- Serve as project manager to oversee logistical aspects of the project—essential, 5%
- Present and publish findings from the study—essential, 10%
- Attend grant project meetings—essential, 5%
PhD or ABD in Chemistry Education Research or related field with a dissertation topic in Chemistry Education Research.
