GENERAL PURPOSE

The Stock Associate plays a vital role in providing an exceptional shopping experience for our Customers. This position involves engaging with Customers through friendly greetings, maintaining a professional and respectful environment with fellow Associates, and following company best practices. The Associate will consistently ensure a tidy work area and optimal merchandise presentation, all while contributing to the store's operational goals.

• Prioritizes safety in every task and actively practices safe behaviors.
• Maintains situational awareness on the sales floor to provide a safe shopping environment. Immediately addresses any safety concerns.
• Treats Customers and Associates with courtesy and respect, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assists Customers with inquiries and merchandise, ensuring a friendly interaction and efficient service.
• Responds promptly to Customer requests and issues, maintaining professionalism and seeking leadership assistance when required.
• Represents and upholds the company brand with integrity.
• Performs cleaning tasks to ensure a clean and inviting store environment, including care for high-touch areas and restrooms.
• Maintains a professional appearance while adhering to the company dress code.
• Performs daily organization and maintenance tasks according to company standards.
• Safely and efficiently moves newly received merchandise to the sales floor, ensuring proper presentation.
• Understands and implements loss prevention standards and handles merchandise responsibly.
• Is honest and maintains confidentiality, safeguarding sensitive information.
• Adheres to policies regarding transactions and cash handling, maintaining accuracy.
• Demonstrates urgency in fulfilling responsibilities and optimizing productivity.

Strong communication skills with Customers and team members in a friendly and professional manner.

Basic math skills for retail transactions are essential.

• Capable of using store equipment, including registers and personal digital devices.
• Must be able to remain on feet for the entire shift, engaging in constant movement.
• Regular bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, and carrying are required.
• May need to lift items over 25 pounds at times.
• Should be familiar with janitorial equipment and able to work with rolling racks and ladders.
• Stockroom assignments may require lifting of more than 20 pounds regularly.
