Mobile Associate, Bilingual - Retail Sales

Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T‑Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They immerse themselves in significant connections with our customers and have the ability to build new and deepen existing relationships across the wireless industry. This learning role prepares associates for the next level as a Mobile Expert and requires successful completion of new employee training.

• Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers while providing a world‑class experience and building loyalty by:
  • Helping customers pick up right where they left off in their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care or in‑store.
  • Exploring individual needs and providing hands‑on demonstrations of the latest technology in‑store.
  • Side‑by‑side selling to find personalized solutions beyond the bare‑bones device and service plan, including unique accessories and IoT devices.
  • Approaching service and sales needs with composure, integrity and compassion.
• Become skilled with and consistently use digital tools in interactions and onboarding by:
  • Demonstrating how our coverage stacks up in customers’ neighborhoods with lightning‑fast LTE.
  • Explaining how T‑Mobile plans and services let customers live unlimited, feel the love, stay connected and go further.
  • Completing training on the in‑store experience, new skills and processes, and reference resources.
  • Making the most of shift time, consistently seeking information between customers and learning about innovations in wireless and technology.
• Establish relationships with and partner across channels, including business and customer service to:
  • Own the customer experience and resolve issues, creating a seamless, run‑around‑free environment.
  • Identify and handoff small business leads.
  • Support team initiatives and create an inclusive environment.

High School Diploma/GED (Required)

6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, Retail environment preferred. (Required)

• Passionate customer advocate who is authentic and enjoys connecting with customers. (Required)
• Competitive drive and proven success in a fast‑paced sales environment. (Required)
• Willingness to learn, share ideas and work alongside peers and store leaders while serving customers and resolving issues. (Required)
• Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals. (Required)

Hourly Base Pay: $18.00, plus $5.00 per hour training pay.

Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive on‑the‑job training and are eligible for hourly training pay. After completion, they promote to the Mobile Expert role and become eligible for an annualized incentive target of $18,000 per year. Actual incentives vary based on performance and full‑time status. All employees are guaranteed to earn $20 per hour inclusive of base pay and incentives and are eligible for an annual stock grant.
