Customer Counter Associate

Position

Full‑time Counter Sales/Customer Sales at Heritage Landscape Supply Group, a subsidiary of The Home Depot. The role focuses on accurate order entry, customer interactions, inventory management, and logistics coordination. Requires a four‑day workweek (Saturday during spring and summer) with the option for a five‑day week during peak seasons. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $20.91 per hour, with starting wage depending on location, experience, and other factors.

• Provide exceptional customer service via phone, e‑mail, and in‑person consultations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Accurately process and manage customer transactions at the sales counter using the company’s computer system.
• Participate in cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with management, team members, warehouse staff, and sales teammates to communicate customer needs and special orders.
• Ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service across sales and warehouse functions.
• Complete other duties as required to support sales and inventory management.

• Preferred prior experience in customer service or sales.
• Experience managing customer relationships focused on satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
• Proficiency with basic computer operations and internet navigation.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and order entry procedures.
• Ability to work in varied conditions, including outdoor environments.
• Willingness to work overtime during peak season.
• Capability to pass a pre‑employment background and drug test.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Prior experience with irrigation or landscaping products.

• Hourly wage $19.00–$20.91, with overtime eligibility based on business needs.
