Apprentice Electrician

Apprentice Electrician – Boulder County Public Works Department.

Salary: $60,840 - $87,516 annually.

Location:

2525 13th St., Boulder, Colorado.

Full‑time position, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm.

• Performs routine electrical work on construction and remodel projects such as installing conduit, electrical boxes, motors, receptacles, switches, light fixtures, and pulling cables.
• Assists in installation and maintenance of electrical systems such as security and fire alarm systems, energy management systems, card access systems, and computer and telephone systems.
• Performs electrical demolition work, including removing old wire and electrical equipment.
• Responds to work orders for electrical repairs and installations.
• May schedule work and estimate time and materials.
• Operates and maintains a variety of hand tools, power tools and equipment.
• Maintains work records and material receipts.
• Performs related work as required.
• May be reassigned in emergency situations.

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of electrical experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Additional education may count toward required experience.

Background investigation and fingerprinting required. Candidates must successfully complete a pre‑employment physical.

Physical requirements include lifting 1–30 lbs. continuously, frequently lifting 30–80 lbs., occasional push/pull of 100 lb. force, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
