Teach basic frisbee skills including backhand, forehand, catching, and cutting. Make a positive impact by helping young athletes develop a love for the game.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote Spirit of the Game principles: respect, self-officiating, and integrity.
  • Create a supportive, non-competitive environment for young participants.
  • Plan age-appropriate drills and modified games to build skills and confidence.
  • Foster teamwork, communication, and a love for being active.
  • Manage equipment setup and takedown for practices and games.
  • Possibility of other coaching opportunities may arise.
Seasonal Position

Initial commitment to the following camp sessions:

  • June 22-26 (PM camps)
  • July 22-24 (AM camps)
Qualifications
  • Minimum age: 16
  • Interest in ultimate frisbee and working with youth.
  • Coaching or playing experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first mindset.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • USA Ultimate coaching certification (preferred but not required).
  • Hourly wage based on experience.
  • Work may take place in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, snow, and humidity.
  • Noise levels range from moderate to loud, often due to active children, group interactions, or busy transportation settings.
  • Work may occur in environments with poor acoustics, distractions, or high activity levels.
Physical Activities
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday, performing both active supervision and hands-on tasks.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or sit on the floor as needed during activities or tasks.
  • Able to maintain balance and coordination while assisting with physical activities or working on uneven terrain.
  • Duties may require sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, bending, or stooping for extended periods of time.
  • Able to monitor participants, ensure safety, and respond to signals or emergencies.
  • Able to react quickly and appropriately to the physical needs or emergencies of children or participants.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including speaking loudly, when necessary, in noisy or outdoor environments.
