Position: Criminal Justice Employment and Resource Navigator - Part Time

Intervention, Inc. is a Colorado non‑profit providing services within the criminal justice system across the state. The Employment and Resource Navigator supports clients in integrating into the workforce through job readiness assessments, individualized employment plans, and resource navigation.

Overview

Assist clients in successfully integrating into the workforce through assessing job readiness, developing Individualized Employment Plans (IEP), monitoring progress toward employment, and providing assistance in obtaining needed resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support, promote, and adhere to the mission, values, and Code of Conduct of Intervention Inc.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with company values, policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain complete, accurate and timely case files for each client on caseload.
  • Perform assessments/reassessments of each client’s job readiness.
  • Develop Individualized Employment Plan (IEP) for each client that includes job readiness goals and job search expectations.
  • Detail and explain verbally to the client the client’s responsibilities related to their employment search.
  • Facilitate client cognitive skills training for those assessed as low readiness following established curriculum.
  • Schedule and meet individually with each client on job search status at least once weekly to evaluate progress and provide guidance outside scheduled times.
  • Keep case manager informed of client progress and collaborate to address barriers.
  • Verify job search forms and observe completion of employment follow‑up activities weekly; record results in Etrac and inform case managers of negative results.
  • Monitor clients’ progress on IEP and employment.
  • Maintain current list of potential employers.
  • Provide job search support through resume reviews, mock interviews, or related activities.
  • Supervise clients while accessing computer lab, including monitoring usage and assisting with program tasks.
  • Refer clients to additional resources for employment stability (e.g., GED) in collaboration with case manager.
  • Report program violations according to established policies.
  • Complete written reports, data entry, and communications accurately and timely.
  • Develop and maintain employment resource guide for clients.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings to report on client progress.
  • Drive personal vehicle to court, jail, and/or other sites as required.
  • Testify in court regarding clients if subpoenaed.
  • Attend required trainings and meetings; apply skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in job placement with adults, recruiting, job development and placement, teaching, counseling, social work, law enforcement, corrections, community supervision, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience applying Motivational Interviewing skills and techniques.
  • Strong coaching and counseling skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with diverse constituents; presentation skills in group settings.
  • Experience completing assessments and developing case plans.
  • Proficiency in data entry, report generation, and communications using various software programs and databases.
  • Ability to remain calm and de‑escalate stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics relevant to the client population.
  • Team member and independent worker abilities with staff, stakeholders, and diverse clients.
  • Must pass background check and be granted access to state criminal databases.
