Job Description
Certified Support Staff focuses on promoting student success by responding to identified needs through a comprehensive array of programs and services that help guide all learners in their academic success, personal and social development, and career and college planning and readiness. Bachelor’s degree, 0-1 year of related professional experience.
Required Certificates and LicensesColorado Social Worker Certificate or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Residency RequirementsMust reside in Colorado.
Responsibilities- Maintains caseload of students/families referred for additional support.
- Provides brief assessments to develop an action plan with students and families.
- Facilitates family intervention meetings with families in crisis or with multi‑dimensional needs.
- Serves as point‑of‑contact for teachers and administration for families in crisis; supports staff training and implementation of support processes.
- Serves as liaison for ESSA subgroups, McKinney‑Vento, and migrant students; follows up with families by phone or in person, coordinates with external agencies (e.g., Child Protective Services, The Department of Juvenile Justice, community service agencies) as needed.
- Maintains an active role and awareness of local community resources within school boundaries by researching, attending local meetings and/or networking events.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work or related social service field.
- One (1) year of documented social work field experience.
- Social work education coursework, including Human Behavior in the Social Environment equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to clear required background check.

- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.) and web proficiency.
- Ability to travel 20% of the time.
- Three (3) years of field experience.
- Background working in education.

Offers typically fall in the bottom half of the range.
- Exempt (salary):
Post annual salary. Anticipated salary range is $21.37k – $26.71k – $32.06k. - Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Salary is not guaranteed; it can vary based on several factors such as geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.

This is a home‑based position but may require one or more days a week in the office as determined by the supervisor.
