Facility Equipment Operator

Equipment Operator I - Deer Trail, CO

Clean Harbors is seeking an Equipment Operator I to operate heavy equipment such as a backhoe, heavy duty crane, heavy duty forklift and/or track hoe within the field.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday

Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 an hour

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and always acting in a safe manner
• Operate backhoe, heavy duty crane, heavy duty forklift, and/or track hoe.
• Operate a forklift as necessary
• Complete daily checklists for proper operation of the unit being operated
• Assure unit is never operated in an unsafe manner or in a manner inconsistent with SOPs
• Complete and submit all associated paperwork for waste tracking movements
• Ensure all containers are properly secured, e.g., chock blocks, jack stands
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements
• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week
• Engage in site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Previous experience operating backhoe, heavy duty crane, heavy duty forklift and/or track hoe
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, if required
• Meet OSHA Respiratory Protection facial hair standards for respirator use

• Preferred:
  Experience in Hazmat operations
