Our client is an organization in the Fox Valley area looking for a Business and Finance Associate
. Our client is looking for someone with related experience, strong attention to detail and excellent collaboration skills.
The salary for this role is $30/hr.
RESPONSIBILITIES Accounting & Financial Operations- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Process payroll and maintain payroll-related records while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Perform general accounting duties including journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintenance of financial records.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Coordinate with external accounting and tax professionals regarding tax filings, quarterly tax payments, and compliance requirements.
- Administer the company s twice-monthly client billing cycle.
- Generate invoices based on project proposals, contracts, and client agreements.
- Monitor project activity and ensure billing aligns with completed work and contractual terms.
- Track consultant utilization, billable hours, and billing rates to support accurate invoicing and revenue reporting.
- Assist with collections and client account inquiries as needed.
- Prepare recurring financial reports for consultants, trainers, company ownership, and leadership teams.
- Support monthly and bi-weekly financial reporting processes.
- Assist with preparation of profit and loss statements, revenue analysis, and year-to-date performance reporting.
- Maintain financial data and provide insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Help identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and financial processes.
- Prepare employment-related documentation, including offer letters and employment agreements.
- Support new employee onboarding activities and maintain employee records.
- Assist with employee benefits administration, including 401(k) coordination and enrollment support.
- Serve as a liaison with benefit providers and external vendors.
- Maintain positive relationships with key vendors and support administrative operations as needed.
- Utilize Quick Books to manage accounting and financial activities.
- Support the organization s planned transition from Quick Books Desktop to Quick Books Online.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across finance and administrative functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field.
- Accounting experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
