Finance Manager – Green Bay Area | Direct Hire

A well‑established and growing organization in the Green Bay area is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to step into a key role due to a planned retirement, allowing for a smooth transition and comprehensive knowledge transfer.

This position offers a blend of hands‑on accounting responsibilities, team leadership, financial reporting, business partnership, and technology support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic oversight and day‑to‑day involvement in the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 10 accounting professionals, including supervisors, senior accountants, and staff accountants.
  • Oversee accounting and financial reporting for multiple business entities.
  • Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and executive‑level reporting packages.
  • Maintain ownership of select entity financials to remain actively involved in day‑to‑day operations.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, labor, overhead, and key business performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and ad‑hoc reporting to support business decision‑making.
  • Partner with operational leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including workpaper preparation and audit support.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, automation, and internal controls.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Progressive accounting and finance experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Prior experience supervising and developing accounting teams.
  • Strong experience managing accounting for multiple entities.
  • Hands‑on experience with financial statement preparation, month‑end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and financial modeling.
  • Experience with ERP systems;
    Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Management Reporter or similar financial reporting platforms is a plus.
  • Strong technology aptitude and comfort supporting financial systems and business users.
