Your Job

KBX Logistics is seeking an Accounts Payable – Freight Auditor to ensure accurate and efficient freight invoice auditing and payment processes. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing freight invoices, resolving carrier billing issues, and supporting month-end accruals while applying strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Success in this position requires proactive communication with carriers and customers to identify cost‑saving opportunities, resolve discrepancies, and drive operational value through continuous process improvements.

Our

Team

The Freight Audit Team is responsible for delivering reliable, accurate, and timely invoice processing for our internal and external customers. There are anywhere from 4,000-6,000 carriers supporting the business which we are proactively partnering alongside and actively processing invoices for.

What You Will Do
  • Audit blocked freight invoices for all modes – duties include:
    • Resolving rate, fuel, stop, and additional charge issues, etc.
    • Process and log carrier statement bills for dedicated fleets and trailer rentals
  • Manage Auto‑Pay Carriers, including the on‑boarding, training, and timely problem resolution for these carriers
  • Manage carrier statements – review and resolve open invoices and outstanding balance dues
  • Ensure carrier invoicing is compliant with KBX Logistics contracts and pricing policies
  • Monitor open loads to reduce the manual accrual for month‑end
  • Prepare month‑end manual accruals as needed
  • Support management goals and operations to create real long‑term value through audit savings
  • Advise, educate, and coach carriers and customers regarding carrier contracts and freight invoicing
  • Challenge processes and seek ways to eliminate bottlenecks and inefficiencies for a more streamlined work approach
  • Promote and maintain continuous, positive communication with carriers regarding correct billing procedures to minimize freight exceptions
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in an Accounts Payable, or auditing, or financial administrative role
  • Experience communicating with external partners or vendors or carriers or customers
  • Experience using Excel to review, analyze, and interpret data
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience in a role supporting Ocean, or Freight Forwarding, or less‑than‑truckload (LTL), or full truckload, or rail transportation
  • Degreein accounting or mathematics
  • Experience using Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data filtering for analysis and reconciliation
