Position OverviewThe School Secretary serves as the central hub of daily school operations and the first point of contact for families, students, and visitors. This position supports school leadership, faculty, and families through strong communication, organization, and attention to detail while helping to ensure a smooth and welcoming school environment rooted in Catholic values.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary contact for families, visitors, phone calls, and front office communication
- Support daily school operations, attendance tracking, and student health needs
- Assist with student arrival/dismissal and general office management
- Coordinate key school logistics including calendars, events, field trips, and school-wide communications
- Manage ordering of curriculum, supplies, and school materials across departments and groups
- Support school activities and groups such as Athletics, Home and School Committee, School Advisory Committee, student activities, and school events
- Oversee student health records, medication procedures, and safety-related responsibilities
- Maintain the school website, weekly staff communications, and family messaging
- Partner with the Administrative Assistant and support school-wide administrative needs as required
- High school diploma required; additional education or office experience preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with basic office technology and communication platforms
- Professional, welcoming demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
