Prince of Peace is seeking a friendly, organized, and faith-filled Administrative Assistant to serve as the welcoming face of our parish. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced office environment, and is committed to providing exceptional service to parishioners, visitors, volunteers, and staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcome parishioners and visitors with warmth and hospitality.
- Answer and direct phone calls while providing accurate information and assistance.
- Maintain parish records, sacramental registers, calendars, and databases.
- Coordinate Mass intentions, memorial candles, and parish communications.
- Prepare baptismal and marriage certificates and assist with parish reports.
- Schedule baptisms, meetings, and events.
- Process mail, maintain filing systems, and provide clerical support to parish staff, clergy, and volunteers.
- Assist with parish software systems and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in an administrative professional program or a minimum of five years of related administrative experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
- A welcoming, patient, and professional demeanor with a commitment to serving others.
This position will work 20 hours per week on the following days:
Wednesdays & Thursdays 8am – 4pm and Fridays 8am – 12pm. Flexibility to work other days to fill in for vacations or for special events is required.
