Position Overview
This position plays a vital role in ensuring our employees are paid correctly and the company is compliant with payroll and tax regulations. The primarily responsible of this position is to manage and process payroll, taxes, W2s, and with holdings for all employees. Someone in this role must love challenges, working with numbers, and possess a high-level of attention-to-detail, professionalism, accountability, and confidentiality.

- Prepares and processes weekly and bi-weekly payroll information
- Reconciles payroll-related general ledger accounts.
- Manages 401k & HSA with holdings with third-party administrator
- Prepares and distributes payroll reports as appropriate
- Compiles information for applicable auditors as necessary
- Assists management with payroll projections for annual budgeting purposes
- Prepares Sales and Use Tax filings
- Processes and initiates payments to independent contractors via ACH transactions
- Performs all duties associated with year-end Form 1099 compliance and filings
- Performs general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence, such as responding to employee payroll inquiries
- Payroll experience is required
- Finance, Accounting or Business Bachelor's Degree is a plus; preferred applicants have a combination of education and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail
- Strong strategic planning and time management skills
- Works well under pressure and with a sense of urgency
- Proficient in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Quick Books and/or other bookkeeping systems
- Thorough knowledge and applicability of general accounting; including, theory, payroll, and tax compliance

Salary Description$60,000-$70,000 annually based on experience
