Overview

This role involves developing and maintaining a quality network of business relationships to generate recurring lending opportunities. You will analyze loan requests with Credit Analysts and Business Lending Assistants, prepare written evaluations and recommendations for approvals, coordinate loan closings, and ensure proper documentation.
You will arrange and coordinate technical assistance for current and prospective borrowers to help improve operations and future business plans. This position requires working out of our Green Bay, WI branch.
- Work with present and prospective customers within Range Bank’s banking area with a focus on growing a small business loan portfolio.
- Qualify potential customers, build rapport and trust, uncover client business needs, apply product and market knowledge, present solutions that meet objectives, and manage and document the sales process.
- Actively participate in community organizations and activities, maintaining close contact with local businesses, professionals, customers and prospects.
- Cooperate with and support adherence to internal policies, procedures, and practices that support risk management, safety, soundness and regulatory compliance.
- Work with branch staff to promote and cross-sell other banking products and services to meet customers’ small business needs.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships; provide assistance and support to co-workers; work cooperatively in teams; resolve conflicts. Collaborate with colleagues across the organization.

- Uphold the highest level of confidentiality and cybersecurity awareness.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- 3–5 years of experience in the financial services industry with increasing responsibilities
- 3–5 years of experience in a customer service-related position
- Strong relationship management and business development/sales skills
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in a financial institution as a Commercial Loan Officer
- Understanding of loan documentation, credit analysis, laws and regulations affecting banking, and computer systems for loan analysis
- Ability and initiative to develop a portfolio of quality small business loans with excellent customer service and profitable relationships for the Bank
- Knowledge of Small Business Administration (SBA) loan programs and policies including 7(a) and 504
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, generating leads, closing business and meeting/exceeding production goals
- Verifiable network of referral business including business owners, professionals, and other centers of influence
