Operations Specialist

Huron Automotive | Green Bay, WI

More Than an Office Job. A Chance to Help Run the Business!

Are you the person who naturally sees what could be done better?

Do you enjoy solving problems, keeping things organized, working with people, and taking an idea from “we should fix this” to “it’s done”?

Huron Automotive is looking for an Operations Specialist to join our team and play a key role in keeping our business organized, efficient, and moving forward.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional position working directly with ownership and department leaders. You won’t be confined to one department or doing the same thing every day. Instead, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how a growing automotive business operates from the inside out—from business performance and process improvement to marketing, employee support, vendors, and day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do

As our Operations Specialist, you’ll wear a lot of hats—and that’s exactly what makes this role exciting.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Business Operations: Keep day-to-day administrative operations organized and help ownership and department leaders stay on top of projects, deadlines, vendors, renewals, and business initiatives.
  • Business Performance: Maintain company KPI reporting, prepare monthly reports and presentations, track performance trends, and help identify opportunities to improve the business.
  • Process Improvement: Look for ways to make the company more efficient, organized, and accountable. Develop, document, and implement improved processes and procedures.
  • Employee & HR Support: Assist with recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, employee documentation, compliance, and internal communications.
  • Marketing & Customer Growth: Coordinate marketing activities, social media, online reviews, promotions, customer retention initiatives, and marketing performance tracking.
  • Vendor & Business Administration: Manage communication with vendors and service providers, coordinate renewals and important deadlines, and assist with business compliance and administrative requirements.
  • Special Projects: Research solutions, troubleshoot problems, and take ownership of projects that help the business improve.
  • Whatever Needs to Be Done: When an issue comes up, you’ll be someone the team can count on to step in, figure it out, and help move things forward.

The goal isn't simply to complete tasks. It's to understand the business, identify what needs attention, and take ownership of making it better.

Why This Role Is Different

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a broad business skill set rather than specialize in one narrow area.

You’ll gain exposure to:

  • Operations
  • Business Strategy
  • KPIs & Financial Performance
  • Marketing
  • HR
  • Recruiting
  • Process Improvement
  • Vendor Management
  • Compliance
  • Customer Experience

You’ll work closely with ownership and leaders across the business, giving you an opportunity to see how decisions are made and how different parts of a company work together.

We're Looking for Someone Who...
  • Has a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field preferred
  • Has 2+ years of experience in business operations, administration, office management, marketing, project coordination, or a related field
  • Is highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Enjoys solving problems rather than waiting for someone else to solve them
  • Is comfortable working with spreadsheets, KPIs, reports, and business data
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Pays close attention to detail and follows through
  • Can work independently without constant direction
  • Is comfortable learning new systems and taking on unfamiliar challenges
  • Can maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business information professionally
  • Is flexible, resourceful, dependable, and willing to jump in wherever needed
The Person Who Will Thrive Here

You don't need to know everything on day one.

We're looking for someone who is curious, proactive, accountable, and eager to learn.

Someone who can look at a messy process and think, “There has to be a better way.”

Someone who doesn't need every task spelled out before getting started.

Someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, communicates well, and wants their work to make a noticeable difference.

If you're looking for a role where you can learn the business, work directly with leadership, solve meaningful problems, and grow your career beyond a traditional office position
, we’d like to meet you.
