What You'll Do:
As a Cost Estimator - Hollow Metal, you'll help put together the numbers behind our success - supporting sales and estimating teams by pricing materials like doors and frames for commercial construction projects. You will:
* Read and analyze specs and construction documents to understand what's needed.
* Use estimating software to price out materials.
* Work closely with vendors to get product info and accurate pricing.
* Collaborate with coworkers and departments to develop smart bid strategies.
* Spot potential issues or opportunities to make our bids stronger.
* Help refine our pricing systems and adapt to changes in the industry.
You'll be juggling multiple projects, deadlines, and updates - so if you like a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this role is a great fit.
What You Bring:
* Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
* Good communication skills - email, phone, and face-to-face.
* Ability to read and work from electronic and paper documents.
* Organized and able to manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
* Willingness to learn and grow in the construction estimating field.
* Must be based onsite in Green Bay, WI with regular and punctual attendance.
No direct construction experience? No problem. We'll train the right candidate who's motivated and willing to learn!
