The Internship Program

As a paid intern you will be a valued team member, not a passive observer. Gray’s intern program provides immersive experience across news, production, sales, marketing or engineering at one of 113 stations nationwide. Interns learn hands‑on expertise from seasoned professionals and leave with an expanded resume and portfolio. Many current Gray employees began as interns, and paid internships place interns at the front of the line for full‑time openings, armed with training received during the internship.

Intern rate of pay ranges from the minimum wage in your state up to $15 per hour.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university (preferably junior or senior)
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Earning a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, News, Sports or related fields, with a desire to gain hands‑on experience in the local media industry
