Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Power Of Dance, we do more than teach dance—we nurture confident, motivated dancers through a competitive program designed to support growth at every stage. Our All-Star competitive team program fosters teamwork, discipline, and character that lasts a lifetime. We’re looking for a passionate Dance Team Coach to inspire and guide our competitive dancers to reach their full potential both on and off the stage.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead weekly team practices (twice per week for Tiny, Mini, Youth and Junior teams; three times per week for Seniors)
  • Oversee conditioning and warm-ups within team practices
  • Clean and refine choreography in pom, hip hop, jazz and/or contemporary/lyrical styles
  • Opportunity to choreograph and coach solos, duets, and small groups for competition
  • Attend competitions and events with your teams, providing guidance, encouragement, and technical coaching
  • Collaborate with other coaches and studio leadership to develop a cohesive, high-quality program
  • Implement age-appropriate life lessons through dance while fostering a supportive, motivating environment
  • Participate in USASF-specific training to ensure compliance and maintain program standards

This position has the potential of being either FULL-TIME or PART-TIME, depending on your availability and our scheduling needs.

You’ll Thrive Here If You…
  • Love coaching and mentoring young dancers, helping them grow technically, emotionally, and socially
  • Bring energy, enthusiasm, and a motivating presence to every rehearsal and competition
  • Communicate effectively with dancers, families, and team members
  • Are organized, proactive, and enjoy planning for both weekly classes and competitive events
  • Have a strong work ethic and desire to grow as a coach and team leader
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience or strong interest in competitive dance coaching
  • Availability to teach evening and weekend practices and attend competitions
  • Passion for team-building, mentorship, and inspiring young performers
  • Commitment to collaboration, growth, and contributing to a positive studio culture

We welcome both experienced coaches and those ready to develop their coaching skills through our supportive training program.

Why Power Of Dance?
  • A collaborative, growth-focused team environment
  • Opportunities to choreograph and lead a variety of competitive routines
  • Access to USASF training and resources for professional development
  • A chance to make a lasting impact on dancers’ skills, confidence, and character

Competitive teams begin in the summer and run through the full school year—this role is perfect for someone ready to commit long-term and grow with our studio.
