Job description:

Overview We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Dental Office Manager/Patient Coordinator to oversee daily operations within a busy dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of dental office management, and proficiency with EMR systems. This role involves managing administrative functions, coordinating patient treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA standards. Prior experience in medical or dental office management, along with supervisory responsibilities, is essential to successfully lead our team and enhance practice efficiency.

Duties
  • Oversee daily administrative operations of the dental practice, including scheduling, billing, and patient records management.
  • Coordinate patient treatment plans by explaining procedures, financial options, and insurance coverage to ensure patient understanding and satisfaction.
  • Supervise staff including patient coordinators, dental assistants, and hygienists to maintain a productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, and other legal requirements related to medical records and privacy.
  • Utilize Dentrix Ascend EMR system for accurate documentation and efficient workflow.
  • Handle human resources functions including training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
Skills
  • Proven experience in medical or dental office management with a strong understanding of healthcare operations.
  • Proficiency in Dentrix Ascend preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and supervising experience with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, dental terminology, dental records management.
  • Effective communication skills for patient interaction and staff coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing dental records and office workflows.
