Our NAEYC‑accredited programs are grounded in High Scope Curriculum and Conscious Discipline, with on‑site supports that allow educators to focus on meaningful teaching and relationship-based care.

As an Early Childhood Educator at Encompass, you will:

• Create nurturing, engaging learning environments that support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
• Implement the High Scope Curriculum through active learning, observation, and assessment
• Use Conscious Discipline strategies to foster safe, respectful, and inclusive classrooms
• Build strong partnerships with children and families
• Maintain developmentally appropriate, high‑quality learning environments
• Collaborate with Center Directors, fellow educators, and advocates
• Participate in ongoing professional growth

• High school diploma required
• Two non‑credit early childhood courses completed preferred
• Interest in early childhood education and a desire to continue learning and growing in the field

• Associate degree in early childhood, child development, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degrees in unrelated fields are welcome to apply
• Classroom experience and understanding of developmentally appropriate, relationship‑based practice preferred

We actively support continuing education, credential advancement, and career growth at every stage.

• Assistant Teachers: $15.00–$20.00 per hour (2 credits in ECE or both DCF‑approved non‑credit course in ECE). Pay based on education, experience, and Registry level
• Lead Teachers: $18.00–$24.00 per hour (associate’s degree or higher in ECE or related field). Pay based on education, experience, and Registry level
