Job Requirements

Under the direction of the Director of Teaching and Learning, the Literacy Interventionist plans, implements, and assesses student learning experiences for assigned students.

The role helps foster a love of learning and appropriately guides the learner to lead their learning.

The Interventionist facilitates parental involvement. Positions are split between Forest Glen and Meadowbrook Elementaries, with a start date of August 17, 2026.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure and certification by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction 1316 required; 1317 preferred.
  • Successful completion of student teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of current educational methodology and practices.
  • Experience in or knowledge of personalized learning and multi-level systems of literacy support for students to experience success in the universal classroom setting.
  • Demonstrated exemplary 21st century skills, including the ability to organize, manage, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Knowledgeable of best practice literacy instruction and experienced in a variety of intervention options for students.
  • Three years of successful teaching experience required; experience with intervention especially at the K‑8 levels preferred.
