Adult Education Navigator
This role supports the full-time Adult Education Navigator in recruiting, onboarding, and managing students in Career Pathways Bridge programs. The position collaborates with various college departments (Assessment, Student Finance, Admissions, Academic Coaching) to provide comprehensive support services. Key responsibilities include case management to ensure student persistence, retention, credential completion, and transition to further education when desired. Additional duties include assisting with marketing efforts and other Career Pathways Bridge program functions as needed.
Essential Functions
- Recruit students via mail, e-mail, phone, in-person appointments, and informational sessions and maintain a file of potential students.
- Review various criteria, to include assessment testing, to determine eligibility of students for CPB programming.
- Navigate students through enrollment process to include Career Pathways Bridge admission paperwork, program entry requirements, payment plans, etc.
- Process student class enrollments and provide summary of class schedule to students each term.
- Serve as liaison between students and ancillary departments, such as Assessment, Student Finance, Admissions, etc.
- Collaborate with and support faculty to ensure student success.
- Provide case management to students to ensure persistence and completion of their CPB program, and/or transition to post-secondary programming.
- Schedule and facilitate informational sessions, both on campus and off, for recruitment of new students.
- Assist with advertising of Career Pathways Bridge programs to include radio, print, social media, and community outreach.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate Degree in related field
- Two years of recruitment, customer service, administrative assistant or related experience
- Experience in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Workday
- Bilingual – Oral & Written English and Spanish
Physical Demands
- Ability to work at a computer, facilitate and/or demonstrate instructional activities, and attend meetings for extended periods.
- Ability to navigate throughout campus locations, classrooms, offices, meeting spaces, and events as needed.
- Ability to operate office equipment, instructional technology, tools, or controls required for the position.
- Ability to effectively access, interpret, and exchange information with students, employees, and community members.
- Ability to transport or move instructional materials, supplies, or equipment required for the position, with or without assistance or adaptive equipment, if applicable.
